I have a Hoover windtunnel self propelled made around October 2001, had it for 2 years and I've been having problems with the brushroll not spinning at a normal speed. It slows down when I lower the vacuum and tried many ways. First, back around January of this year I replaced the original brushroll with a new one because the brushes were getting worn out and short. Thought that would help but still slowed down. Then I got a new belt for the brushroll and still slowed down. Then I finally got a chance to take apart the base and look at the bearing pulley and give a little bit of lube. Didn't work. So I got a bearing pulley and replaced it and brushroll still spinning slow and finally I got a new idler arm and replaced the old one and brushroll still spinning slow. Anyone had this problem before? Any other ways to get the brushroll spin at a normal speed? Thanks
