As above. Will any of you lucky purchasers be opening the box, taking them out of their original packaging or even taking the next step & using the Vacuums that you purchase?

I CBA to bid because, as much as I would like to, I can't store it, sadly. I would have definitely gone for the Discovery or Studio but I see Cee-Jay has upped the price to £15 on the Studio!

Good luck to you all at bidding & thanks for any replies! :D

Absolutely not - these are not vacuums to be used - they are to be kept as new, and preserved for as long as possible. These machines are the museum pieces of the future. Anyone using them will ruin their value immediately. NIB means NEW - not used. Once you use them - even once, the motor will dissipate carbon dust and render the vacuum used.

I doubt I will be lucky enough win any of these vacs (well, the ones I want anyway), but if I do, they will stay unused.

Whoever gets the U2462 at over £400 now it would be madness to use it - such a valuable and rare cleaner should be kept locked in a vault and insured against mishaps!

Good thread by the way Beckham :) I am not sure whether I should use my DC14i, would you? if its a vacuum you like a lot

Thanks :D

Tayyab - it's up to you. If the cleaner was only sold a few years ago then yes, I would use it. Did the model sell well as I know that DC14's only went out of Argos a few months ago. I probably would use the cleaner yes.

Thanks :) The DC14 was launched in 2004, till 2009. but then they only made DC14 origins for one more year, then that was the end :(
