Ive always loved the styling of the hoovers from the '20s to early '30s. PS: Before i had a vacuumland account, i came across that picture on google images and saved it on my computer. Proof:

That would be my Kirby Model 560. I use it as my avatar. Call me sentimental, but it was manufactured the year I was born -- 1960. Maybe that has something to do with it being my favorite! LOL! The vacuum is in perfect shape and runs like a top too. I also have the full set of attachments. The only thing that isn't original is the four row brush roll. The new style brush roll turned it into a cleaning beast!

The 560 is a beatiful machine. One of my favorites! Of course, any kirby is my favorite.

Off topic: Hey, ive seen pictures on the internet of Kirby D-80's colored blue and even red. Have any of you seen these?

Kirby16: yes, LOTS of my vac images show up on google, and people think they have the right to save them and use them as they wish. On their websites, on eBay...

The one you've posted isn't actually the same one as the one I posted; when I took the one I posted, I used the flash - the other one was taken with natural lighting from the window opposite.

Electro-Hygiene 903

Actually most of the machines in my collection are favorites for one reason or another, but if I have to pick just one it would be my Electro-Hygiene 903. I've always had a special connection with Electro-Hygiene, but the model 903 upright was the one I used to sell, along with the 966 tank.
Other favorites include Kirby D-50 and Classic III, Lux XXX, AE, and G, Hoover 300, 475, 26, 28, 29, 63, and 82 Constellation, and Royalaire 260.

Oh boy ...

For me it is also a toss-up...

I say all pre-1990 Royal all-metal uprights - household and commercial - because of their 6-blade fans and Adjust-O-Rite height gauge plates.

But I do like Kirbys, too ... again, my grandma's Classic III is my prized possession.

Misc wise Hoover 800,825,Royal uprights,Singer R1,R2,R3,R4

So quiet a few really.
