I was playing music by the Ronettes, the Crystals and the Righteous Brothers while I was polishing my Kirby Sanitronic VII.

Just wanting to know if other people listen to music while cleaning, rebuilding or polishing their vacuums.

I drop the BASS

And let it crank to the tunes of the 70's-90's Disco, hip-hop, trip-hop, electro-trance, Bass-N-Booty Miami music!! I was there when DynamixII cut their first track along with DJ Eddie B, Trinere, & Debbie Deb not Debbie Gibson...LOL oh and KC & The Sunshine Band, Miami Sound Machine, I-95South! What an amazing time!!

I listen to various songs depending on my mood and i always listen to music when "Fiddling" with my vacuums. Not so much when im sorting out the motor as i like to concentrate but otherwise yeah

Well, when I have a lot of carpet to vacuum, or something really, really ugly to demolish - such as a Dyson, I like to listen to this.

But mostly I like to listen to this. This one I have inevitably found, that I almost always listen to with my eyes. I guess it must be some kind of weakness of mine. For if I was ever doing anything dangerous, whilst listening to this, I would most surely be drawing back a bloody stump of some kind.

Joking aside, Mr. Orbison is indeed my favourite singer and about 95% of my music listening is his songs.

The other 5% consists of a varied list of musicians, most of which from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Umm, mainly charts & house music, Clean Bandit (love them), & Madonna (can't wait for her new able to be released next month). I also listen to quite a lot of 2000's stuff too, I have one massive playlist with a mix of them all. I also love Paul Van Dyk's new releases.

I tend to listen to music whilst I'm cleaning. It helps me enjoy it more.

I listen to a whole mix of stuff; I have a radio in each room and can't be done with these rather fangled (but swanky and possibly may buy one if the prices drop) bluetooth Sonos sound system speakers...

So Ive got on radio tuned in permanently to Classic FM; Im a big fan of Vaughan Williams too as well as Elgar, Vivaldi, Bach and a ton of classic musical artists; another radio tuned to Heart FM which tends to play a lot of 1970s - 1990s popular music. Of my own choosing:

Blondie, Kate Bush, Abba, Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, Janis Joplin, The Carpenters, ZZ Top, Heart - the list is endless.

@oliveoiltinfoil just realised that hahaa. Mum & dad usually have heart on but the Bluetooth speaker thing is great. I have one which is a tower speaker that plays with a 40 foot Bluetooth signal which is amazing. :))

My mostest favorite " idiot box " tune by far is Elvira's theme song by " Third Man Records," performed by " The Black Belles!" It really rocks! And without any further adieu, here it is with the lyrics.

I have very eclectic tastes in music.

Classical music calms me: jazz energizes me. "Big Band" music, like Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, etc. is enjoyable anytime. Long story short, I enjoy pretty much anything EXCEPT heavy metal or rap.

That said, when I'm cleaning or doing laundry, I'll turn the internet radio tuner on and get one of the great jazz stations like KPLU from Seattle, WA or JAZZ FM 91 from Toronto and clean to some really good music!
