i was doing a search for abandoned antique appliances i saw this thumbnail to click on for a video. hope rick and bekah find some more old vacs. i did see 2 other abandoned explorations of theirs where they found some but one was one of the old black kenmore uprights from the 1980s and one that he only playing around with all i could see was the power nozzle and hose not sure what brand it was.

Metal work

If you take the hood to a metal shop fabricate a hood.
With soda blast if wouldn't be that hard. I wish I. could show 510 the one on my name on my posts.
It took me 12 hours doing body work. I spent alot of money getting correct parts.

Woah! One of those is a roll easy! Saw this too. I would put a timestamp, but everything in the video is cool.

love it-

i used to have an old vacuum look just like that. i mean to a "t"(whatever that means) missing the handle, bag, front plate, the wheels were froze in place...but it ran smooth without any dry bearing noise. never figured out what brand because there were absolutely no i.d. marks or model # tag or anything. it must have been on the cover on the front.

Madman

Exactly. You could fix hood repair like body work on a car. It wouldn't be easy but some people can't because skill set isn't suited for this or they don't want to 2ork on a vacuum that's not a holy Grail vacuum.

Info

I didn't see this info in the thread.
He made quite a few vacuums. Chicago electric got bought out by Kenmore?
The premier duplex Chicago electric are the same vac.
Franz premiers founder amongst other people built vacuettes or something similar. It's in archives but up to 1940 a bunch of companies shared vacuum models.
It's similar to swivel top cannister in 1960s.
