I am aware that Cirrus is just a private label for vacuums manufactured by Essco and that they used to be made by Buckeye under the names of Evolution, Prolux, Bernina, Morse, Etc. Was Tacony ever involved with the company? The shop I work for claims Cirrus used to be owned by Tacony but I don't think they're correct.

tacony had nothing to do with Cirrus. Their brands are (were) CleanMax, Carpet Pro, Tornado, PowrFlite, Simplicity, Riccar, Fuller Brush.

someone

on here said they copied an old Tacony design or something? Anyway, I own a Cirrus CR79 and I freaking LOVE it. That combined with the 12 foot extension hose for above floor cleaning and I almost feel like I'm using a central vacuum. The Hepa bags don't leak a speck of dust. Mine is just over a year now but no problems other than the squeegee underneath is wearing and tearing. I love the design.
