What is it made out of because it is worped and can I use a heat gun to reform it?

Is it metal or plastic. If it's metal it's aluminum if it is plastic it's Bakelite.
If it's plastic you might be able to. If aluminum it's probably painted and you would ruin the paint. It's a hand vac I imagine a dirt devil handvac cap would fit.
