Preston - your motor is similar (but not identical) the the motor in my Fein shop vac. My fan case was rusted stuck, yours does not look too bad. On mine, the stationary fan / stator was permanently attached to that section of the fan case. No need to remove it, anyway. You simply need to remove the whole fan case from the motor base. My motor base was bakelite, yours looks like aluminum. Hard to tell from pics. You should be able to pull that second part of the fan case off in the same way you got the first one off.
Is it a 3 piece fan? Not familiar with these. Either which way, the blades might stay captive in the fan case, no big deal. On mine, the fan case was pinched inward in two recesses on the motor base. Used a screw driver to unbend those, and carefully worked the screwdriver blade all the way around, between the base and the fan case, to separate them. Of course mine were badly rusted together, yours should not put up that much of a fight. Though if the base is aluminum, that might well be corroded.
