I installed the software, and activated it just fine. After installing several hours worth of updates and a service pack, I checked the system properties and discovered that the version I installed is a 32 bit version instead of 64 bit version. I tried to upgrade to a 64 bit version, and it was a no go. I tried to talk to MS about what happened, and basically their response was "Pay this window", meaning that I would have to buy another license ($200) and download it on a machine running a 64 bit version of Windows. It appears that instead of MS asking which version you want, It looks at the version of Windows you are currently running and that is the version you get. Since I was running 32 bit version of Windows 7, it downloaded the 32 bit version of Windows 8, even though my machine is 64 bit. I hate MS.</span></span></span>
