I noticed that on the member profiles of all members, there were no apostrophes in their descriptions. I tried to put some in the descriptions of my page, but I hit "update" and the apostrophes in the boxes were gone!

Yeah it has been like that since I joined, but I didn't bother to mention it. If it could be fixed that would be good though!

Hi Guys, no worries, I had it on my to do list, just got around to it this afternoon. I think I figured out what the problem was and fixed it. Please give it a try now and let me know if you notice anything strange or any error messages. Thanks again for letting me know about this!

Posting of links is open to both regular and upgraded members so that isn't the issue.

Ben you can include links in the main box see: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-1947-S...885?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2583112535

and they automatically convert themselves into a clickable link unless the link you are trying to use has some odd character that makes the conversion to link code fail. What were you trying to add that didn't show up?

Robert,

The last time I tried posting any link, I got an error code if it meant the link was in the main body (discussion).

Here is a sample of the result I got:
Nested quantifiers in regex; marked by <-- HERE in m/www&#92.automaticwasher.info/TD/VLJPEG/VINTAGE/2010/eurekastar++ <-- HERE 12-13-2010-22-25-52.jpg
/n
/n/ at /home/vacuu3/www/cgi-bin/TD/ZCONVERT_LINKSTUBES.pl line 42.

Actually, this error code persists if the link I'm posting is to a JPEG picture file. Again, I would like that part of fixed, too, if you can be able to do that.

~Ben

OK now I get it...

Thank you Ben for pointing that out, I think I know what the problem is and I'll have a fix in as soon as I have a moment over the weekend.

Some tests...

OK that issue should be now fixed Ben. Here is a link with to a picture: http://www.vacuumland.org/TD/JPEG/VINTAGE/2013/beerad++9-28-2013-01-33-16.jpg

as well as a youtube video (as a test) :

and a regular old link www.cnn.com plus an ebay link http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-SUN...550?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cd63d5186

Let me know if you guys see any other issues that need to be address, or if this fixed caused something else to break. Thanks again everyone for the heads up!

Another Bug

<span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">When you click on the Post Number next to a username and it opens their posts that they have made page, in the Post Preview instead of seeing question marks when they are typed in the post, see the phrase "QUESTION MARK REPLACER". But clicking on and going to that post in a thread you see the actual question mark appearing normally. This first one is a picture of what it looks like on the Post Number page, the second one is what it looks like in a thread. (Sorry it is so small, not sure why / how to fix it)</span>

Then What it Looks like on a Regular Post

<span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">This is what it looks like on a Regular Thread, again sorry for the poor picture size. </span>

Thank you Tyler, that was an easy fix. I made a lot of changes this week so I do appreciate you guys pointing out and helping me fix the bugs!

Ben I have no plan at this time to allow more than one picture upload per post, that will open up the site to possible abuse and I don't want to go there.
