I collect washing machines, and I was wondering, what kind of washing machine do you have? If some people from the other side of the pond could too because I would like to see some American ones too! Also, does anyone else collect them? Cheers. Jacob.

Kenmore!

My grandmother had a wood-grain Kenmore set in bieage years back, the dryer went out and along with it the faithful washer. Darn scrappers took the power cords off as they sat for disposal.I would've carted them to the barn if I wasn't young! Replaced by some cheap Admiral set, boo! The dryer has the most irritating buzzer, and the washer blew a motor! Replaced by ANOTHER Admiral I found down the street by the curb, still works great!

As for my household, we used to have a pair of faithful Maytags, both going out at different times. The pair was left behind by the previous renter of this house.the dryer went when the motor froze over, replaced by a light blue Kenmore. The washer went years later, when it began to leak badly and fail completely. I could not save the entire machine, but was able to save the Control board. Our faithful set was then replaced by our current, lovely pair. 90s Kenmore twins in white.besides the washer busting a safety switch, this set had been serving us well since.

I cannot stand modern washers and their unreliable foreign selves, please tell me you collect the older models! What models have you acquired so far?

Washing machines.

I too agree that the newer one's are nowhere near as good as the older ones.

I have only been collecting fairly recently, and have no pictures on me now, but as I have not been collecting for long, I haven't got the best machines in the world, but better than today's machines.

1991(ish) Hoover Logic Premier 1250 Washer Dryer (shared ownership)
1994 Hoover Classica AC166 1200
1994 Hotpoint WM12P 800
1996 Creda Dryer
1998 Hotpoint WM64N 1200 (shared ownership)
1998 Hotpoint WD61P 1100
2001 Creda Dryer
2003 Bosch Exxcel 1400 Express - main machine - not to dissimilar to your's I would believe Tayyab!
2007 Electrolux Insight Condenser Dryer

I know most of them are fairly recent, but over here washing machine's from 20+ years ago are getting more and more uncommon!
