Kenmore!
My grandmother had a wood-grain Kenmore set in bieage years back, the dryer went out and along with it the faithful washer. Darn scrappers took the power cords off as they sat for disposal.I would've carted them to the barn if I wasn't young! Replaced by some cheap Admiral set, boo! The dryer has the most irritating buzzer, and the washer blew a motor! Replaced by ANOTHER Admiral I found down the street by the curb, still works great!
As for my household, we used to have a pair of faithful Maytags, both going out at different times. The pair was left behind by the previous renter of this house.the dryer went when the motor froze over, replaced by a light blue Kenmore. The washer went years later, when it began to leak badly and fail completely. I could not save the entire machine, but was able to save the Control board. Our faithful set was then replaced by our current, lovely pair. 90s Kenmore twins in white.besides the washer busting a safety switch, this set had been serving us well since.
I cannot stand modern washers and their unreliable foreign selves, please tell me you collect the older models! What models have you acquired so far?
