You may both be right!
In my opinion a mint original,working,complete vac should not be touched by a welder any more than a showroom condition car should be chopped and slammed with flames.
But with a rusty,dented vac with bad cord and motor and no attachments some amazing art could be created.
I do have several tank and canister vacs that might qualify for a new life as art.I even have some art ideas.Are you a Star Trek fan?How should you vacuum a bowling alley?How about a Liberace tribute?Or Scarlet O'Hoover?Or?!?
