Anyone have a spare they would be willing to get rid of? Got a nice restorable condition vacuum out of the trash and it is complete with exception to these.

How much would a very nice, fresh buffed dual sanitronic 80 be worth?

It would be worth whatever you or someone else is willing to pay. I've seen them go for between $50.00 and $450.00.  I bought my shinny factory reconditioned Dual Sanitronic 50 with most of the attachments and the Rug Renovator for $52.00 on ebay. That was a lucky find. I don't think the seller had any idea what he had when he posted it on ebay for $49.00. I bid $52 and won it.

The range is endless

As with any item, you get what the buyer is willing to pay.
If you list somewhere like Craigslist that has a limited, local exposure you could get less than if you post on like Ebay where you have a much larger customer base.

Keep in mind, craiglist is usually local pick up, and you inherit the dangers of face to face meetings etc. Ebay usually involves shipping (which is paid in most cases by the buyer), and ebay fees, of around 15%. Still I did see a NIB D-80 with attachments go a few years ago for over $600. Remember this was a new in the box, never used, original in everyway machine.

So with mine in a tarnished state, and missing the bag, and emptor, is this worth restoring? Ore would it be better to part out?

There's no right or wrong answer to that one. It all depends on your priorities. If you're looking to sell and make a profit, then parting it out might be the better way to go. If it's something you want to add to your collection and have the enjoyment of working on, then fix it up. I bought a G5 on the cheap earlier this year and renovated it a bit, not to show condition but certainly acceptable and usable. By the time I finished with it, I had spent about $120 on it. That was way more than I anticipated, but I had fun doing it and the knowledge I gained in the process was invaluable, so no regrets.

Restoring for the joy of doing so is worth the effort and cash, with the reward of a restored machine in the end.

Restoring to net some cash, you may be better parting it out.

Do you collect or are you just in it for the money? That should answer your question.
