I was thinking of the electric broom type but have several Bissell (& other) push sweepers.Maybe the one above.I think it was a Harley Earl design as he was planning to retire from General Motors(his retirement gift was not a gold watch but a custom Oldsmobile hardtop convertible show car) and do design work for others including Bissell.
