WANT TO BUY: Lewyt Model 55 Hose & Manual

I have 2 Lewyt Model 55s, one is missing the hose and one has a damaged one. Looking to buy a nice hose (or 2!) as well as a manual.

Does anyone know how difficult shortening these hoses is? I think if I were able to remove the damaged section and reattach the end, I could at least save this hose while I try to find a replacement.
