I'm relisting this Rexaire with NIB Polish champ on Vacuumland. It was formally on eBay but did not do well. I'm not sure why since the Polishchamp is extremely rare. The polisher is NIB and has never been used, with the exception of testing. The vacuum itself is in excellent condition. Bot the vacuum and Polishchamp have been completely gone over by my friend who is an Aerus dealer. The moving parts on the Polish champ have all been greased since it's almost 50 years old.
This was the dialogue on eBay for those who saw the auction on eBay.
This listing is for a Vintage Rexaire Rainbow Model D vacuum cleaner. It has fondly referred to as a Chrome Dome or R2D2 from Star Wars. It’s from my personal collection. The vacuum is pre owned and in very good condition. It has been completely gone over and cleaned. I’m also including the very rare Polichamp floor scrubber/polisher. The floor polisher has never been used with the exception of photographing it. I’ve also taken a video showing the Polichamp spinning. We have greased all the moving parts on the polisher. Look closely at all the photos. There are a couple of dents on the dome. This sale is final with no returns. Please feel free to contact me with any questions before bidding. The shipping is a bit high since I will be protecting the integrity of the original polisher box.
I will try to add a video of the polisher running.
I'm asking $250.00 Price is non negotiable based on the fact that you will be getting an extremely rare Rexaire PolishChamp NIB and a Rasinbow D2 In very good condition. I can be contacted directly by my email [email protected] Thank you.

it's a floor polisher that's why. vacuum collectors really dont have high demand for floor polishers, buffers, extractrors, floor a matics, scrubbers, etc. ive even pointed out extremely rare floor a matics on fb marketplace for cheapo and no one cares.

that rainbow by itself will likely sell. id suggest enjoying the polisher yourself. you wont likely find a buyer for something so specific.

I was selling new Rainbows in 1979, and the polisher/shampooer was offered to folks who would "buy it tonight". Very few did, because the power nozzle was also offered the same way. Everyone took the power nozzle. The polisher/shampooer (which you have) was launched later than than just the polisher making it ever more rare.

Using the suds maker on the Rainbow sprayer along with Rainbow shampoo concentrate, you spray the dry foam suds over a section of carpet. Using the Poli-Champ with the black brush, go over the foam to work it in (like a Kirby except better). Warm, clean air blown onto the rug through the hose and crevice tool attached to the Rainbow's exhaust port quickly dries the rug.

The Poli-Champ was based off the Fairfax floor polisher which predated the Rainbow polisher by several years. I know of only myself and one other collector who has a new Poli-Champ with both brush sets.

Good luck with the sale. In my opinion, your asking price is about right for the combination of the machine, tools, and Poli-Champ,
