We had one

My Mother had bought one when they bought the house to scrub the kitchen floor and she also used it with the carpet brushes to shampoo the carpeting with the Electrolux shampoo. It also could polish the floors. We donated it with all of its accessories to a Mission which has a thrift store. I was careful to bag up all the extra brushes and pads and tape the bag to the machine so as not to get separated so it could all be resold together. It was a 2 speed Regina. These were also always available for rent in the grocery stores near the checkouts I remember.

It was a good machine but not needed anymore as the asphalt/asbestos tile floors in the house had all been replaced with ceramic tile in the early 80s and most of the wall to wall carpeting replaced with hardwoods and fine rugs and therefore it hadn’t been used in likely 40 years but it did run.

It has turned into an appliance that while still good…is not of much use with modern no wax ceramic tile and polyurethaned no wax wood flooring.
