Hi all.
This came my way last Saturday.
I've never heard or seen one like it before.
Does anyone know anything about it?

Thanks guys.

Anyone in the UK got one or seen one before?
Wikipedia says that the Electric Suction Sweeper Company was what Hoover was called in the UK before they became Hoover. Not sure whether that sounds right to me.

Croydon

I would doubt that Hoover in the UK was ever known as anything but Hoover. The attached picture is from Good Housekeeping in 1928. I THINK the Croydon is the one in the middle, with the Hoover on the right. Its an interesting catch, I hope you can get it running. Might I ask you where you came across it?

Frantz Premier

I have the hand held vacuum in the picture, it's a Frantz Premier Junior. I'm sure that's a Frantz Premier upright that 1066Hoovers has now. Many of the vacuums shown in the catalog, we also had in the USA.

Yes it is that one!

and I found it in the back of an electrical shop in Whitton, Twickenham. the owner said that his dad, who used to run the shop, said that it was 'a very old cleaner'. Looks like it is from your picture! Thanks a lot.
