Venta air washers and humidifiers

These look interesting, apparently they are made in Germany, I'm wondering if they do something similar to running a water vacuum on low speed. Based on the description, it appears that they use an external power supply which makes me think that they may use D.C. brushless motors. On the highest speed they only use 8 watts.
