Hello,

I am selling my hardly used Vax HF1400 if anyone's interested. Once you get to the listing, click on seller's other items and you'll see several more cleaners for sale.

I am clearing out most of my collection including some older Hoover cleaners like my Vortex, Turbopower 2, Alpina, Telios, Microspace, Discovery Amigo, The One Performer, the original The One and a few others. Basically most of the cleaners that have appeared on my YouTube channel, apart from the one's that were sold years ago. I will be keeping a few Miele and Sebo vacs, but that will be it. More vacs will be added over the next couple of months and I will update everyone on here when I list more.

I will still buy new cleaners from time to time and review them on YouTube, but I won't be building up a large collection as I don't have the space to store them.

Roger

I doubt I will be listing more leaflets until I've sold the vacuums because I need to clear the space my collection is taking up first. I am also selling some other collectibles to take advantage of the busy Christmas shopping season, so they are my other priority at the moment. I may put the odd leaflet up before the end of the year, but only if I have time.

Yes Ryan,
I want my house back and I want to clear all my stuff that's still stored at my Mum's house.
I will always keep some leaflets and I have my videos to watch, but I can no longer see the point
of having a load of vacuum cleaners I don't use or even see most of the time. I could never just have one cleaner, but I hope to get my cleaners down to 10 and then possibly 5 or 6. Once you start to break up a collection, it gets easier and easier to sell more and it becomes addictive.

I will be keeping a few Sebo and Miele models, my Morphy Richards Liftaway and a couple of carpet washers,
but the rest will be going. Hopefully some collectors will want a few of my older Hoover models, but as long as they get sold for a reasonable amount, I don't really mind who buys them.

Funny how so many keep the SEBOs and Miele vacs and yet get rid of the Hoover or Electrolux vacs.. Try and keep one Hoover upright or cylinder vac for yourself as you may feel in time that you didn't want to lose that particular model. With me it's the Hoover Slalom. There's something about it I like against a lot I can't stand about it. Might be the motor noise, I don't know....

Good luck Roger, I have really enjoyed seeing your videos of these machines, and look forward to more in the future. I can certainly understand the need for space though.

Roger, you're the best vac reviewer on U-Tube!

Roger, I too have really liked watching your U-Tube channel and always check every day to see if you have another new vac to delight us with. Kudos to you for doing such an informative and interesting range of videos, and your dry sense of humour where "you thought that people might have preferred your video of you dancing round naked with various vacuum cleaner attachments" made me seriously LOL.

Its always nice to see your dog Daisy feature in the vids - she's so cute!

I wish I had the money to buy some of your vacs, but sadly I'm out of work again and looking for another job, so finances cant permit me to buy any more vacs until I get a job again.

I'm really sad that you are selling all your collection though and will miss your excellent videos. I'm hoping you will have a change of mind, as a true vacuum collector can never be without his/her vacs for long. I do understand about space requirements though, and in this ever changing world, where homes are getting smaller and more compact, its very hard to amass a large collection of vacs and find more and more space to house them.

I wish you and the dogs all the best for the future and you truly are a vacuum superstar!

The link below will take people to your video that I mentioned above - one of your best, featuring the Miele S8:

Thank you for your nice comments Steve, but I won't be disappearing from YouTube just yet. I still have a few vacuums I plan to review and I have some more old TV ads and other vacuum cleaner related videos to upload.
Also next year when I hope to have more time, I will be starting another YouTube channel with more diverse subjects including reviews on products other than vacuum cleaners.

Hi Roger,

I know just what you mean about space. For me, vacuum collecting has always been great fun, but I seem to always reach a limit where I go "THAT'S IT!!! ENOUGH!" and get rid of loads. It's not just the machines either - a hose here, a packet of bags there and before you know it, you're struggling to get drawers and cupboard doors shut.

The final straw for me came quite recently when I had a vacuum in bits on my bedroom floor. I broke off to go make dinner and got distracted - I completely forgot it was there! I went upstairs to get a shower, came out of the bathroom in just a towel, walked into my bedroom with the light off and fell completely arse over tit over a load of parts. My towel fell off and I ended up in a rather compromising position with the top half of the cleaner. It was after that I decided I HAD to have a clear out.

I've kept a few machines which are my favourites. I've also picked up one or 2 others since, but I'm limiting myself now and when something comes up I want, I make sure I get rid of something in it's place.

Good luck selling, no doubt your items will sell on the back of the very detailed auctions you list alone, regardless of collectable value.

All the best,
Chris
