Here is a picture of my newest find. I was looking through the local Craigslist after typing in Vacuum.

This popped up and I recognized it immediately by the shape and the disk under the lid. They were asking $50. Took them a week to respond as they were out of town.

Ending price, $35. The lady was excited when I told her I had a Lewyt Vacuum. She went on the say she had brought it to Texas from the New England area. Forgot which state.

I cleaned and baby oiled it to soften the vinyl. I will transfer the Lewyt (also found locally) from the end of the bed trunk to it's new home.

Thanks.

Wow, made out of cedar too. Even if you never had a Lewyt and just found the chest as an antique, it could still be useful. Glad that nobody butchered it for some Etsy project. It's in amazing shape.
