Thanks for the link, Charlie

It was both interesting and informative. I was wondering by her Hollywood address, if she was someone famous. Now I know. She must have been of the same genre or period as perhaps Ann Miller ?
Gosh.....it's scary to think that I'm old enough to remember Ann Miller......whew! ;-D

Oh, that glorious helmet of jet black hair! By the time I met her there were many wigs for public occasions. My room mate and I had lunch and a swim with Miss Miller at her Palm Beach estate back in 1986. Was on a theater 3 month winter tour for two weeks in PB. When we got to our Palm Beach hotel, it was a filthy mess with unpaid staff out on strike so we answered an ad posted at the grocery store for a private A-frame cabin - one of three built by a nice Swiss couple in their vast backyard to augment their retirement taxes. We spotted and met Ann first at the same grocery store a few days later, exchanged pleasantries and abject adoration. And I suppose made a good enough impression that our landlady took us over to see Ann one afternoon. What a great classic showbiz broad she was. And tall.

The next 3 weeks we were in Fort Lauderdale where I had pre-booked myself into a gay courtyard Motel by the beach. Nothing beats an all over tan poolside...

On that same tour I met, among others, and chatted with, Luther Vandross (in a leather bar), Helen Hayes and Barbara Eden. Why, that Jeannie barely topped 5 feet tall and exactly as bubbly, sweet and pretty as she looked in the 1960s.
