Vacuum cleaner pencil sharpener

I got this in the early 90s at one of those cheap dollar store places.

You can see it has a pencil for a wand, there was once a coupler to connect the wand to the hose but I lost it. The eraser stores in the front compartment and there is an extra pencil so not sure if it had two wands or one stored inside.

Not sure, kind of resembles some Eureka canisters and possibly Hoovers.
