hi all. i have a really nice vactric R45. yellow and blue. i have the hose which is near mint(in fact i think it is!!) i also have the upholstery nozzle & small brush but no other pieces. i am curious as to what actually came with the tool set for these cleaners. i am looking to buy the tools needed to complete the set if anyone has any. good prices paid for the right set. you can reply here or email me. Vactric & GEC

You are right it is mint as is the cleaner by the looks of it. The only other tools were a wand and crevice nozzle.

Gareth, although the GEC would look similar (as did many more cleaners of the time) I don't think that it is a "badged" version of the Vactric, but is an entirely different machine

hi vacbear58. i have a wand (from a vactric silent Q) and a crevice nozzle (also from a vactric silent Q) but i think the crevice tool and wand would have been a bit different for the upright version. not sure though.

Heres a picture of the complete accessories from an auction that was up a few years ago - same model of Vactric but different colour scheme (wine and gold).

many thanks for the picture. at least i can see what i am looking for. i just hope i can find a set at the flea market or one like it on ebay. i do really like my vactric and i want her to have a really good tool set as the suction is amazing for a vintage upright cleaner. they just dont seem to come up often, however the search goes on. gary.

the vaporizer would have been made for this model. i had one once but had to downsize a bit. if you know anyone with a vactric set like yours let me know by all means. cheers, gary.

Hey Gary:

I have the same cannister machine but it was sold under the President name by State Vacuum Stores in Canada. Its mostly Goblin Machines and Electrolux that I am saving now though. Good luck with finding the parts for your upright.
