Hey everyone,
I always thought that the Hoover Convertable styles and the Eureka Sanitaire style vacuums were really good carpet cleaners but poor above carpet cleaners. I was always told that they created a lot of air flow in combination with the brushroll, however, with the just the fan going they were not that powerful; as in the case with using the attachments. In essence I was always told that the brush made the difference. Is that what you guys always heard too?
Also, it seemed to be the consensus that the Hoover Junior models that had attachments in the front did not perform really any better than the Convertable styles....That's very interesting considering that the motor design is so similar to Royal Everlasts and Kirbys. Kirby's and Royal Everlast models have a tremendous amount of suction when the hose is put on the front like the Hoover Juniors. Does anyone know why there is such a difference between Hoover Juniors and Royals/Kirbys?
