I have one just as nice, but with the original cord (the one on eBay has a replacement model 30 Lux cord).

Thanks for sharing. Apparently, I'm sitting on a gold mine. "Say Cheese Girls".

The Universal Jet 99 was not nearly as good a vacuum cleaner as the Atlas, due to two simple changes. Universal made the Atlas hose connection swivel as well as putting the machine on wheels. They also made the cloth bag 1 inch shorter, so it didn't sit directly on top of the pre-motor filter which cut off the airflow on the Jet 99. For such an overbuilt motor, the Jet 99 isn't that strong (about 50 inches of lift).

I rebuilt mine, including the unique motor, so it runs like the day it left the factory.

I think the one in the eBay listing has been repainted. Mine should be worth MORE.

Universal did shorten the bag on the next version of the Jet 99, which at first had a dolly it sat in, then had built-in wheels.
