You nick my Junior Compact, and now you have that :P *grumbles irritably*

I know what it cost :P thats half of why i'm annoyed

lol

buy it now as well, bloody buy it now :P

of course i've got that lux 400 that nobody seems to want in my sights ;p

LOL!

Ian

Good luck with the Lux- not my kinda thing so dont worry lol!;).

I ment youd hit me if I said the Turbomaster and tools set me back £15 in total.

*Ducks and waits for slap*

good old charity shops ;p car boot sale? local tip :P

Well, I bidded on the lux..I won't divulge how much I bidded..but if a certain gentleman with more money than sense bids £100 I won't be a very happy young man ;p

Just realised that appears to be a total system but without the onboard tools ;p

A rarity?

Turbomasters without on board tools....

Ian

Yup the do seem rarer than the Total system versions- probably because there was very little price difference between the Total systems and the tooless versions plus a tool kit.

Mark

There were 3 versions- the U5080 was TOL with electronic power control and rewind. The U5078 lacked the rewind and power control- its a kinda blueish lilac colour. The softbag model(number escapes me) was a pastel blue.

Ian...

The Turbomaster came from the local Salvation Army Charity shop, I paid £10 for the cleaner a few months back then the Tools appeared a couple of weeks ago for £5 :).

I dont know if them getting a tool kit was coincidience, or if it came in with the cleaner and got seperated in their back room- seeing how much stuff was in there id strongly suspect the latter lol!.

I also picked up a 1224 Junior with the Turbomaster tools, that was £15 but I suspect it would have been less if I hadnt looked as eager lol!!- I dont mind though as I think the Sally Army do fantastic work :)

The instructions.....

I forgot to say- oddly there dosent appear to be a missing page, but they have no reference in them to changing the belt!.

As anyone who has changed the belts on one of these(or an Innovation obviously) knows its a right PITA! so youd think they may have mentioned it lol!

Seamus

Maybe it's direct drive =p

lol one does wonder when hoover first experimented with that, I bet it was with a turbomaster :P

shame hoover/lux etc prototypes prob ended up in the skip after use, unlike with say, cars.

nice to see them together!

A TM with proper pip-fitting tools, hurrah! I'm suprised that Hoover didn't take the oppurtunity to include a longer hose though - I bet pelmets are a nightmare with any TM lol.
