Yes it is! The bagless on the end was NIB, and all but 2 (excluding the NIB vision) have been serviced or rebuilt with some NOS parts. The 2 awaiting service are the plus (soft bag) and lite plus (black bag). I did have a can Vac, both power team and straight suction, also the pro series maroon version and I found them to be lousy machines as they lost suction rather fast, they were loud and somewhat flimsy in construction. I have also had the MVP deluxe as well in 7, 10 and 12 amp and found those to be excellent performers for what they were in a clean air design. They seemed to hold power rather well, were durable, quiet, and managed to last quite a long time and let’s not forget that LARGE bag capacity! I could only wish they would make them like this again. At least these machines were well worth their value and you definitely got what you paid for.

Electroluxxxx

That is a collection of some of Dirt Devil's finest, including the Featherlite bagless!!!!! The Broom Vac, Ultra MVP, Plus XF and Lite Plus black are probably my favorites here!!! My aunt had the PLUS a long time ago.

Thank you for the compliment! They are very good machines indeed and some of my absolute favorites. I see you are in NY how far from Syracuse are you?

Woah!

My dreams have come true! I've been rather hysterically replying to nearly 8 year old posts on this site just on dirt devils to see if i could get anything other than a hand vac (haha). If anyone wants to sell some of their dirt devils, like a lite, broom vac, ultra mvp, mvp, upright, deluxe, classic, alternate hand vac models, and any variants of those models, I'm happy to buy. If you want to list them on ebay, I'm still happy to buy. Just PLEASE let people place offers, list a buy it now price, and use the one up from the cheapest shipping, these vacs are delicate. I need an absolute empire of dirt devils (laugh). Grandmas hand vac handy parts mailer inspired this obsession...

Thanks, Rett

Perfect!

I've always been interested in having a dirt devil with a cloth bag bigger than a penny! I've sent you an email. And back on the topic of the thread, I will try my best to win the Ultra MVP on eBay, and if I do, I'll send pictures and videos on here so you guys know what it might be like with the cord rewinder. I am a bit confused on where the VCCC is, the issues, and what costs are. Also where any vacuum conventions are just to show vacs and talk all day about them... Can somebody point me in the right direction? I'm just looking to show some of my recent finds whenever the next event is, and to possibly try others' vacuums.

Great collection Electroluxxxx! I wonder if it's the lighting you have or the camera, but they look a lot more vibrant red in your photo, its amazing!

@huskyvacs
Thanks! The lighting in the basement is cool white LED lighting and the camera my IPhone 11. The machines actually are very vibrant with color as I don’t believe they have been exposed to a whole lot of sun or used heavily.

Hey Mike

Why don't you bring a few of them to the Vacuum Cleaner Collectors Convention in September. I'm sure there are many younger members who would want to see them. The Theme this year is Central Vacs (won't Greg Palmer be impressed) but as you know we have three days of festivities. A couple of your pristine Dirt Devils would be welcome (as you always are - you have a standing invitation). Will be great seeing you again, and a new photo op. Loved our last one. "The Most Unpretentious meal".....

Tom

If I am able to go, I’d be more than happy to bring a couple of them down. Yes last time was a great time and I look forward to many more!

I’m using one of mine today. The deluxe was quite popular when I was young. I don’t have a problem with these either. I think they were a good value for the money back in the early 90s.

Daaaaaaaaaaang

That's a nice collection. Until today I didn't know so many soft bag models existed.I have six models and only two of those I see in your collection. It would be great to see a list of the entire DD line from the first. Do you have a favorite in the full size upright category? I still like my 7amp red and 10amp black deluxe, both still work after almost 30 years. The model that Kloveland is sporting above lists for 169.95 in a '90-'91 Best Merchandise catalog, which puts it in their upper mid price range. Thanks for sharing!

Ultra MVP...

Soooooo the Ultra Mvp has risen to over $100, and well over that. It is at $145 for the vacuum price, and $45 for shipping no matter where you are, so it's going to be a $200 vacuum pretty soon! I'm fine with it because I just found a broom vac with the original box! Never seen one! Never used!

Is

Anyone interested in this. It has a small chip and no attachments. I'll post pics.
It looks descent .

Mike,

Impressive collection of Dirt Devils!
And, some beautiful Maytags back there too!
I don't collect DDs, but I picked this one up because it was something you don't see every day.
There was a discussion in a different thread about how stores cut the cords off of some vacuums to use them for display. This one came that way right from the manufacturer. Made specifically for display. A little Vac & Dust. I guess they included everything that the functional version would have. It appears to have a bag in it, and there's a microfiber pad for the floor nozzle.
I've never taken it out of the box and assembled it. I just bought it as a novelty.

The

Pic I attached the brush roll doesn't engage.
Retail stores when you get returns the manufacturer pays for retailer to dispose of the product. This means they have to cut the cord. It was called 1506 at Walgreens. The number is referring to the number for the balance sheet of the business.
They don't want defective items in circulation of the public.

Oops

I haven't seen this thread in the top for a while, so figured it was done. The Broom Vac is on offerup, and I'm about to have the seller ship it to me pretty soon. Les, I would definetley buy your MVP, but I just got the older Upright Deluxe, and just ran out of room in the collection.

Thanks, Garrett

Glad you have had luck on OfferUp. I deleted my account there. I probably tried to buy 20 vacuums off of there in a 2 month period in 2018 and each time I did, the seller expected me to pick it up (even when im 7 states away) when they had the listing stated they would ship it, or never shipped the order at all.

I have a newer version of the 3n1 you linked I bought from Amazon on a dirt cheap sale to use to clean up after my parrot and small touch ups. I probably got it 10?
Years ago when I was living in the old long term rental. It started smelling hot so I stopped using it and then all the cordless vacs started getting cheap so I got one. After a while I found it again and cleaned it out and it still worked after all so I used it around the birds area because it has way better suction than my early cordless. It's mostly retired now but I just fired it up and sucked up some bird garbage with it.
I have a Shark Ion duo clean x2 cordless I got that works really well as a touch up machine and can pick up all the bigger crumbs he throws around but that Dirt Devil is still great and cheap and they still sell updated versions. As long as you have a plug close by it does a nice job.

Oh

Its not my dirt devil. The brush roll wouldn't engage. If it's a bypass vacuum it means the clutch is an issue.
I figured it probably had issues I could remedy.
Les

Thanks

I wasn't sure. I worked at Walgreens and in 2009 every store got a 1030z. In 2016 they bought all the stores the orange hard plastic royal. I imagine it's probably pretty similar to that model.
I did get the 1030z and fixed it up. I sold it to a member on here.
I wasn't super impressed with the royal hard plastic version.
