Needs to be cleaned up a tad, but for two bucks at an estate sale this morning I had to pick it up!

Official instructions for reading this post:

The following is to be read with a snotty, I know everything - you know nothing, put down - type, degrading, attitude filled voice......

(ahem...) So, you have an Atlas. Lovely. Of course - it will probably NEVER look like this one. I rebuilt this one and must say it is stunning. It was delivered to me in MUCH WORSE condition than yours was. Still, I don't know if "a little tidying up" will produce the "Ah! gorgeous, fetch me my smelling salts - I'm going to faint over the beauty of your Atlas Rick" comments that MY machine has gotten.

Best of luck though.....

PS: na na na na nah.....

Now that Ive had my little fit,

Congratulations on becoming an Atlas owner!!! That will be the talk of the town - it is such a conversation starter. You'll be proud to display that machine. Here's a rear view shot of mine.

I don't know what the deal is why this thing always looks orange when I take pictures of it. It is as deep a red as you can get and it still be red. Any darker, and it would be maroon.

Hopefully, it will look less orange on this shot of it on the shelf with my other machines.

Derek, when you are ready to restore your machine, and if you want some guidance, I would be more than willing to help you out with it. It would be a pleasure.

You'll love that Atlas!

Rick

Wow Derek, another great find!!  Oshkosh must be a great place for finding really neat stuff!!!  I have seen Ricks' in person and it is just beautiful.  I'm sure he will be a great resource in restoring yours.

Wow Rick!!!!! That is BEAUTIFUL indeed!!! And you have three of them. Once I get my other 10,000 or so vacs restored I will certainly pick your brain on this I am sure (actually this may have to move up a few notches on that project list, it is an awesome looking thing)

Those are such fabulous machines! Simply beautiful! I have never played with one of those in person.. I also love the Universal Jet99 cleaners, they look to be of similar design.

Thanks for sharing your find!
