Truck Engine Advice?

The motor on my 1997 Chevrolet K2500 is just flat wore out. I changed the oil and there was quite a bit of metal in the oil so that's telling me that the bearings are going out should I put a crate motor in it and drive it for another 10 years? or just buy another used truck? The thing is about my truck is that everything is good but the motor.

Put a nice crate motor in it or have the engine rebuilt.

how many miles on this engine? is it a 5.7?
