<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">My TriStar Power Nozzle model 2-51 makes a HUGE racket!</span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"> </span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">When I lift the PN off the rug or carpet, it doesn't seem to make as much racket as when I am vacing carpets</span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"> </span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Is this normal or will I need to put in a new motor?  It has a brand new brush roller</span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"> </span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Are ANY parts available for the 2-51?</span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"> </span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">The model 2-1000 that came with my 1985 CXL seems to be quieter; but also makes a squealing noise</span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"> </span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">The model 2-51 (cogged belt) at left & model 2-1000 (flat belt) at right</span>

I had the same thing happen to me with my Hoover Futura!

Canister, that is! The bearings in the power-nozzle motor are going out. all I did to mine was oil the bearings with WD-40 and it ran like a charm!
