A burgundy trimmed Royal upright to go with my black one and my blue one! :-)

It was free because it was not working. Started at the power switch, and sure enough, found a break. Now the fires up and roars like a 747 spooling for take off -- Just like a Royal.

The bag is, of course, not original -- but a new burgundy outer bag is on order. Everything must be just right, yah know!

It says...

...Stark -- which is actually the name of a vacuum repair shop, I do believe. There were also a couple of stickers on it that said "Stark Vacuum Repair" 'n such.

Yeah, its original. Stark has Royal private label their cleaners for their stores. Just like the good old days where Royal had dozens of names.

Interesting....

...coz the lady said it was a replacement bag. And I googled "Stark Vacuum" just for kicks...lo 'n behold came this behemoth vac shop out of Portland OR.

Hmmm...now I'm wondering if I should replace the bag with the Royal bag I ordered. The vac does have the Royal Crowns on the wheels...hope that counts! :)

In 2001 we had the vacuum convention in Portland OR, and one of the planned events was a trip to Stark's Really a great place and very interesting.
