Hi Rob, as I am older, I will eventually sell off my collection.
It's inevitable, as well with the trains, the Austrian & Swedish crystal, Spode, and Bavarian porcelain china. Unless my step kids want it. Not the vacuums of course, and when they host holidays we always eat off of paper plates.
They'd just sell it all anyhow. Not everyone grows to appreciate vintage as they age.
So, I was wondering about your Christmas vacuum photo, the one showing the burgundy Eureka power nozzle without a headlight. I've not seen that one before.
Do you have a canister that it came with? A large bag type, or smaller?

Figured it out

Model 1266 power team rotomatic. No power selector thumb wheel, standard carry handle trim, no bag guard. Standard tool caddy and set.
Once I threw out blue Hoover Constellation when I was 14. I retrieved it from my neighbors trash on the curb. It worked, but that steel swivel hose coupling was just ugly to me. The one on the newer ones looks better.

Hi Vacerator!

That power nozzle was a gift to me from another collector. It was an extra power nozzle of his that he did not have a matching suction unit to at the time. He saw my passion for Eureka canister vacuums and gifted it to me. I give it use here and there. It uses the VG1 brush roll that has very soft black colored bristles that do good not at the same performance level as the VGII.

Here is an updated photo of my Eureka canisters. Funny how quick times change but several of the vacuums in that Christmas collection photo from around 2 years ago, I no longer own.

I do still own the burgundy Eureka power nozzle.

Deep Wine Burgundy: Hoover PowerMax Supreme S3530 with Futura style power nozzle-- behind machine-- That power nozzle was original to that series PowerMax line!! gifted to a friend of mine as a house warming/ wedding gift. He had a bagless Dirt Devil compact upright like thing that performed like a kids toy prior!!

Deep Wine Burgundy: Hoover PowerMax power nozzle for S3607 PowerMax Deluxe in front row-- still owned. I've converted the wire to a standard 2 prong instead of the T shaped 2 prong. It can run on any of my Hoover canisters including my Celebrity and Dimension 1000 units.

Green: Hoover PowerMax power nozzle for PowerMax Supreme S3611. I have since then acquired the rest of the machine. This power nozzle was brand new out of the box at the time of the photo. It is now properly paired with it's excellent conditioned suction unit in the next photo.

Green: Hoover Windtunnel S3630 canister-- still owned.

Red: Kenmore Progressive canister- given to a house cleaning client of mine as the Eureka Express canister I gave her wasn't powerful enough for her home and the Anniversary Windtunnel canister we got brand new prior to the Express, the board died and warranty wasn't covered by warranty since it was bought brand new from eBay. ***Learned a lesson here!!

Eureka Rotomatic power team 1784B with both Eureka power nozzles -- still owned.

Westinghouse upright- red-- sold to a buddy of mine.

Hoover Power Drive upright- green--- Gifted to John Long for his wonderful hospitality and great friendship over the years. Plus I was stunned to find out that despite how many Hoover objects he owns, he wasn't too familiar with this gem!!

Rob, mine has soft bristles as well. It does fine when I use it, which is not often.
I have two other express style VG II's for my central vac. The grey one from the Oxygen, and the black and mauve one from my 8295 Express. The one I got with the Beam attachment package back in '96 is a green cogged belt drive with a fluorescent light. It only has soft brushes, no beater bars. Only for delicate area rugs.
Our house has no wall to wall carpet anymore. Hardwood floors, ceramic, and a high end Tuscan stone DuPont laminate in the kitchen. Cheap nylon in the hearth room, which is also for dining. That is also the room two dogs used to go in and outside from. Time to refinish again. Acrylic top quality deep pile in the living room, as I am allergic to wool, and runners in the hallway.

The Express power nozzle should be a VGIII that you have installed. The Express takes a different brush roll from that of the Rotomatic style. Yours should be two rows of bristle with subtle beater bars along the ridge in the brush roll just after where the brush strips insert.

The VGII is 1 single row of bristle strips on each side with another row of higher raised beater bars. White colored bristle brush roll below

VG 2, or 3

yes Rob, you are correct. They are both VG 3's. The express from the 8295 is quieter though, because the motor is fully enclosed. The grey oxygen one has and open frame motor design.

I'm going to the resale shop today. I am looking out for a canned ham.
I live one mile from a UPS store.
The question is, will you want it if it is an Empress II, before the power team versions?
I will not mark it up for a profit, as all good deeds go rewarded in good karma.
Heck, if it is cheap enough, like under $30, I may just gift it to ya!
I broke a china bowl last month in an antique mall. not exspensive, only $15.
I paid for it, and left it behind. I figured the seller could find a new lid for it before I will.
It was a vintage Hutschenruether from Bavaria. Plain white, with gold trim. About 40 yrs. old or so.

So, I watch my neighbors 12 year old golden retriever while they are at work now.
They do pay me a little, but have also given me old outdoor items I have added to my shabby chic garden, etc. Also some serveware itmes.
I like vintage Hutschenruether because it is German, and they used to make the dinner ware for Lufthansa air lines. I have a few pieces of their Alfabia medley collection which looks Italian, like me.
Now for the karma part.
My neighbors uncle is a huge collector of lead crystal, and is beginning to give it away. He gave her an Orefers 8 inch crystal bowl from Sweden.
It is signed by the artist, and sells for about $300.
She gave it to me. I offered to buy it. She just said no, please, it isn't my taste.
