This Kirby Classic Omega has a secret

Has a disposable paper bag

Jeff, it looks like the machine, a Classic Omega, has been equipped to have a disposable paper bag inside the outer cloth bag. Thus the sani-emptor wouldn't have to be used.

I bought one of these new in 1975--the first Kirby I'd owned.
My mother shared a home with me at that time, and she was only 5 feet tall. She'd always had Hoovers and hated the Kirby. Said it was heavy and tipped over. Also pointed out that our miniature schnauzer didn't like it. So I bought a new Hoover Convertible Elite in the early 1980's and sold the Kirby to my employers.

DING DING DING!!!

You are correct Jim, the Omega has been outfitted to use disposable bags.
The Sani-emptor is from a Tradition, and the bag tube/insert is from a Heritage I and II

a very big thanks

to the lovely Miss Lawson who had the zipper installed on the bag for me.
I bought this Omega in a junk shop last year for $5, and after a factory rebuild this is what it looks like. Now with the disposable bags(HEPA no less!) I can use this now and again. I have always liked the look of the Omega!

It looks good and you can use it.. That's the one thing about them in original form is not wanting to use them unless you can find clean dirt and I don't have any of that in the house. Helen is talented but I feel dreadfully sorry for her having to take on seamstress piece work like that to support her addictions. And now Ida as well resorting to embroidery to pay the light bill. Some girls never learn.

She's a beauty...

Beautiful Jeff. Now, please keep your eyes open for a dual sanitronic 80. I don't care what condition it's in as I'd like to also send it in to be rebuilt.

Kirby Rules

Hi All I must add another story one with a very good ending. In March 07 I had carpet installed half way through the job the young man asked me a question he said i am sure the answer is yes but do you have a Kirby i said yes he said i can always tell because the floor is just about clean. He went onto say his wife would love a Kirby but they just make ends meet each week he said i am 21 some day i will have a Kirby i hope. Well my heart went out to him i said you will have a Kirby TODAY take a walk with me into the next room pick a Kirby and it is yours he almost started to cry he picked the g5 . I made a friend for life he now is like a second son i see him and many times his wife every few weeks. All thanks to the Kirby. Take care all Doug

It looks good and you can use it..

Exactly Pete, thats what I wanted. It also is mostly original, too which is nice.
I did swap out the 2 brush roller for a 4 brush, on my carpet that works much better, and now with HEPA bags I can use the machine and not worry about a dumping a cloth bag. Jack sheds way too much for one of those!

Excellent addition - I've heard about the alterations that Ms. Lawson has had done (to the vacuums of course, we won't go into the other surgeries) and they are very useful for those of us that like disposable bags.

That is a beautiful cleaner, Jeff.

I'll keep my eyes open for a Dual 80, Alicia - you must be getting a little more relaxed on the NIB requirements? OK, I won't look for those anymore ;-)

Ms. lawson

has a FAB tailor to do this for me...
and the machine is mostly original, and still usable. It handles nice too!
I'll post some detail pics of the bag system when I have a chance when I have a chance
