Or necessarily one I'd admit to owning...
I snagged this in a thrift store this morning, for a whopping $30!!!
It needs a bag change, but otherwise seems fine. The canister is whisper quiet, thats ok because the p/n makes up for it!
It'll probably wind up on ebay, and help to stave off me eating dog food for another month...

This is not your mother's Electrolux

Jeff,
That's similar to the one I got but the hose on mine comes out the top so it swivels nice. I think that might be the older style power nozzle. I really like mine and it's so quiet. Did yours have the hepa bag or a regular bag? I think you got a very good buy for $30.00! The power nozzle that came with mine is very quiet. They must have made some changes. I had read several write up from customers that said the power nozzle pulled to one side. Anyway you look at it you got a bargin. You should be able to at least double your money. Don't let it get to close to your vinatage Hoovers and make them sick!Just kidding!

Great buy there... I've never used one but they seem to get accolades in CR and they're not that cheap new either.

Great Score Jeff! I have a feeling when you get it all cleaned up you may just really like it. As Pete mentioned CR really liked the machine!!

All cleaaned up...

Thanks for the nice words, Michael worked his magic on the Electrolux tonight and it looks like NEW!!

It has not seen much use either.

I will give it a try before I sell it, as I said before, I'm a couple of steps away from eating Jack's food, so this will help!

Hey you know what, some of that stuff they got today looks and smell so good it makes a person wonder what it tasts like.
I think I would rather eat the dog.
lol

I think I would rather eat the dog.

nope, never would I do that.

Shame on you for even thinking of it.

Jeff,

It sucks that you are haveing tough times and may think of selling a vacuum(s). But if you would sell any Hoovers or Singers let me know and I will almost definetly buy them.

Jeff wouldn't eat Jack.

Jeff, that Eurekalux isn't Mom's, but it's not bad at all. It's basically the same as a Eureka Oxygen from around 2000-2001, which is a respectable machine. I don't consider it a collector's machine, but I am in need of something to give to one of the nurses who is divorced and can't afford an expensive vacuum, yet she needs one do to allergy issues. You can contact me, and I'll buy it from you for $100 plus shipping to stl, if you don't get a better offer. If you do, take it and make what you can. :)

I'd have written earlier, but I'm just getting home after a long day. If it's already sold, then I hope you got your money out of it.

Your paypal is sent. The nurse who is going to get this will thank you for finding and restoring it. Her daughter has terrible allergies that precipitate asthma attacks. She is divorced, fixed up a house herself (very nicely, btw), but doesn't have the money for a high-quality HEPA vacuum, despite the medical need. She has been borrowing her wealthy sister's Simplicity upright, but that sister's husband is perpetually unkind to her and has been demanding it back. I promised I'd come up with something, and this is perfect. She has only a small amount of carpet and needs a canister that will vacuum dust from wood floors without billowing it. So, this is a good thing. Thanks!

Patrick
