Truth be told, washing machines were probably my first mechanical interest. I remember being around 4-6 years old and being fascinated by my grandma's GE Filter Flo washing machine. I thought it was SO COOL how there was a removable "Frisbee" around the top of the agitator, and a solid stream of wash water would shoot from the top of the wash drum into that "Frisbee". This was how the lint was caught and taken out of the wash load. SO COOL, if I had my own house, I would definitely try to get a matching GE Filter Flo washer and dryer.

I can't, however, imagine a collection of washing machines. I feel that my Kirby collection is ridiculous and enough of a waste of money and space to last a lifetime. But at least one can pick their daily/weekly driver, dedicate certain machines to certain cleaning/maintenance tasks, etc. I can't imagine the actual utility of a washing machine collection would be worth its space, time, and effort.

But what do I know?! I collect old Kirby vacuums!!!

Would like to collect washers-BUT----Old models are hard to find out here.As they say on Applianceville- I live in the land of rust.No basement to keep the machines in.I get as vintage of a washer as I can-the new water sipping models are JUNK!!Yes,A GE Filter Flo would be MUCH better!
