Surely the motors would have been electrically tested as part of the refurbishment programme? And bearings replaced?
If they'd put all that work into dismantling, cleaning, replacing trim & accessories, testing for safety, and new packaging, it doesn't make sense to have skipped the motor?
Didn't they offer a reasonable guarantee on their refurbished machines?
