While I had two of the Regina uprights, complete with attachments I can tell you they were powerful machines.


I've never heard of the Crusader, though I do know that Regina is known for some awesome non-electric and early electric tank/canister vacuums. The history of this company is truly fascinating. They started out as a music box company in Germany in the mid to late 1800's before settling in New Jersey at the turn of the 20th century. There's a great article on Wikipedia, and another on a site called 'Wayback Machine.' The link is in the references at Wikipedia. It's well worth reading.


And let me state here that the name Caligula refers to a cat I once had. He's pictured in my avatar.
