I have 2 Quadraflex power nozzles in the house currently. Both run phenomenally but even with that due to the metal brush roll set up, you may here an ever slight rattle at machine shut down.
That said here are photos and attached schematic from Hesco. Brush roll assembly is crucial!
4 bristle strips in good condition plus the outer brush ring on belt side. When brush roll sweeps, the bristles should push dirt into the brush roll cavity towards the suction duct first. The white beater bar/ brush support is like a stiffener and extra torque pushing the soft bristles through the carpet after the bristle!
****Condition is key. Hoover power nozzles get noticeably louder when bristles are too short!
Non belt end: Washer goes in first with ends pointing towards center of brush roll. Clean and greased bearing with plastic facing out towards end cap, and metal bottom resting on center of metal washer.
Belt end: Metal washer in first again with edges facing toward center of brush roll, metal of bearing resting on raised center of washer. On top of the bearing goes about a 1.25"metal extension post, then the end cap screws on. Both end caps should screw tight. Then standing brush roll on end, it should rotate smooth.
Blue grease is great for packing into the bearings!! You can pry off the white or black plastic sleeve to pack the bearings for the brush roll.
Belt for the Quadraflex power nozzle is 38528-011. Use a genuine Hoover for these!!! It's about $2-3 for a 2 pack at Ace Hardware, Boscovs, True Value hardware. Or you can get them online or your local vac shop. But make sure it's 38528-011. The 38528-036 is Windtunnel and is too wide. The 38528-009 was Celebrity and is smaller and not wide enough.
I have the same Hoover Dimension 1000 S3277-040. I just used the machine this past Tuesday night, May 17 and it did fantastically!!!
Sorry I caught this posting so late! I've been very busy and haven't been on Vacuumland site for around 3 weeks until tonight!
