I recently aquired my grandmas kenmore powermate 3.9.
1.what years were they made
2.where can I purchase a new hose for it. the current hose is completely dry rotted. im pretty sure it wasnt used all that much but sat in my grandmas sweltering and freezing attic for the past ten years. it works great.

Witch type is it?

Is it one that connects in the front or on top?I may have a hose for you. It wont match but it will get you through till you find a matching one. The one I have is gray. You can order one from sears but Im pretty sure that will be gray also and Im thinking yours is white.

it is front. The hose is white. I will look for one yardselling this summer too. that is my main vac source anyway

Thats not the hose I have, I got one of those vacs but i Hvae an extra hose for the newer type (1984 and up) that connects at the to. I to need a new hose for the one like yours but mine has the power switch on the hose not the step on.Ill keep an eye out up this way tho.

I gat on sears parts direct and found the one for my model for 35 . It is white. Thanks for your help!

Do you know if it will be white? If it is can you let me know. I have a 60's Kenmore that I finaly tried the hose form my 80's and it fit so I may order one. ive looked on ebay but with shipping on a use one i could have a new one.
