I recently had the bittersweet task of cleaning out the late Clay Floyd's home, and distributing his entire vacuum collection.
There were several machines in his collection that were so special to him, I couldn't bring myself to give them to someone else.
This Hoover 150 was one of them. Clay's grandmother bought it new in the late 1930's. When she, and her daughter, Clay's mother, bought new Hoover 634's on the same date, from the same man, she eventually gave her 150 to Clay.
It won a blue ribbon at the VCCC cleaning contest one year. Clay had a number of blue ribbon winning machines but this was his favorite. I also got his mother's Hoover 634.
This Hoover 150, along with my perfect example from the late Stan Kann, are on display at the Vacuum Cleaner Museum in ST. James, Missouri.
