What I have done...in the past on the Princess and Ironsides Eureka canisters is to put felt around the hose opening on the inside of the vacuum so that a seal is formed from the bag collar holder to the inside of the front of the hood. The terrycloth bonnet over the motor as Louis ( Hi Louis! ) mentioned is also a great idea.Marty
