Well, two weeks later they are still removing items from his three acre compound of honeycombed buildings. He spent over forty years of glorious hording and learning just about how to do everything.  He was a plumber, cobbler, air-condition,  T.V., electrician, computer/all things electronic repairman. But one thing he was not, and that was a good painter - white paint splattered everywhere. His carpentry was mediocre, he could read a rule.  Well, just goes to show, no one is perfect, after all, but he came awfully close!  So, I made my return pilgrimage this morning, and behold, I did more damage to my wallet! Well, it was all for a good cause, the poor man suffered from a brain bleed and needs all the money he can get his hands on. My guess is, we will all wind up in that boat someday!

Well, enough of this sad stuff, I found a 1970, RCA tube carrying case and a 1979, CRT tester/rejuvenator - complete...WOW! Alas, I can rejuvenate my crappy 1992, Zenith CRT!

Tube Caddies!Sencore TV test instruments!--Used one of those tube checkers at one time.Don't know if they are still made in Soux Falls,South Dakota. They were not far from the old Zenith factory that used to be there.Things that date back to when folks FIXED their TV's rather than having to buy a new one!Later tube caddies were used to carry replacement circuit boards for TV's that used them.

Still have & use a tube checker & 1940~ RCA Volt Ohmist VTVM, I used to buy Burroughs computer panels & war surplus communication equipment for 20 cents/pound & reuse the tubes & panels to build custom sound systems & strobe lights in the '60s. I suppose my estate liquidation will be a contest between collectors & scrappers--
