For some reason the whole ad is no longer available, but these were advertised side by side in the Saturday Evening Post during the Christmas season(the pictured examples being from Nov. 13) of 1920.

There were only, I believe, two models of Torrington uprights. You have one pictured, and this is the other one. I believe the difference is how the dirt exited the fan case.

Yep, the B and the C. The motors were the same internally, but on the B quite literally every other piece is rolled or pressed steel that has been nickeled. I wish I still had my model C carcass to compare it to, but I do remember that the model C had a much more advanced design for the head and the handle latch.
