@panasonicvac—My grand uncle used to have a vacuum much like that one. When I was not much older than 6, I’d guess, I tripped a breaker playing with it in his basement. There was a family reunion going on upstairs, and I ‘plunged them all into darkness.’ Lol
@Kloveland—Thank you!

Regina housekeeper is a rare vac, no? Strangely, the Ace Hardware by my folks place still has bags for those machines and many other older vacs! Go figure.
@Lesinutah—Sounds like the rug really was in need of a good clean. I’m glad to hear that your Tristar and Patriot nozzle were up to the task.
@Dysonman1–What a great surprise your husband gave you! I agree, the blue is very sharp. I was torn between the Blue EON and the Sebo X7 Premium. Although I eventually decided on the X7, I have a lot of respect for that Sanitaire. I’d take it over it’s closest competitor, the Sebo G.
@‘hoove Today I, too, broke out a Convertible—well, Guardsman—to clean my place. This is my NIB C1631, and it worked a treat on my new home. It was so strange to me to unbox an unused “Decade 80,” but I had a blast with it!
Incidentally, this discontinued vac, which I bought from (I think) a liquidator, has NO serial number! That part of the tag is just blank. This is very strange to me. I figure that I bought either some kind of pre-production unit or a vac which Hoover quality control must’ve deemed a ‘bad egg’ for some reason. Hopefully the former.

The vac works great, anyways.
