What model of rainbow is this?

Will it have a Power nozzle option? Is it worth the $50?

How good are these compared to a newer say- D3 or D4 SE?

When was it made?

Looks like a model 'D' to me since i don't see the outlet for a power nozzle (it would be to the right of the intake) - then it would be a D2. I have a model D. I believe they were from the 60s, possibly even the late 50s. Mine has a lot of suction. I have a turbo nozzle that I use with it but only on low pile carpeting.

I find it amazing how many vacuums you seem to be "getting" but haven't "gotten". Is there something going on here that we need to know about? It's starting to get more than confounding....it's getting kind of annoying!

Some of the things that are said in these posts don't add up......like the $40 Rainbow that the woman sent you pix and suddenly decided not to sell? Not having any other vacuum other than a Kirby 518 or a Hoover 800, yet showing pictures of a fairly new Vax?

Then there's the whole catastrophe when Andrew offered to polish and refurbish your Kirby 518......2+2=7 here.....

I find these vacuums through ads. My mom thinks about it. I try to get more info about it. And then my mom says no- lets wait and see what comes up.

I sold the 800 when I found the deal of a lifetime- a Rainbow E series for $50. But after I sell it, the lady backs out of the deal. SO I lost my 800 which cost me $140.

I had the vax, I sold it in hopes of getting a tristar, but that guy backed out of the deal as well.

Andrew has never gotten back to me for some reason. So I have no idea what will happen with my kirby.

My vacuum life is iffy! :S
