I wanted to added a carrying handle to my Discovery II.

It is similar to the Sanitaire SC6600A.

I ordered the "Electrolux Upright Carry Handle" from evacuumstore. (SKU: EVAC-P-00002838)

Ordering vac parts online can be frustrating, since descriptions are vague, colors may vary, and any pics are usually poor.

Surprise, the part is well made, very sturdy, dark charcoal in color, and made in the U.S.A. to boot.

Notice the ribs on the back for strength.

Last pic is the broken hook for the cord (need to figure out a fix for it)

It matches the vacuum perfectly.

There is a square washer, and screw available also that I recommend getting. (I used what I had available)

currently produced. :)

The part number on the sticker is a "Eureka Sanitaire SC-6600A Commercial Vacuum Cleaner" part number.

That is why ordering vac parts is crazy.

Sears Parts Direct shows the Electrolux plastic canister, and the Electrolux upright, diagrams and part numbers. Most everything says "No longer available", but if you dig, there are parts galore for them.

With Perfect cloning these now, there are even more parts out there.

I had a thread on this design, and how it is still being made (often under different brand names)

"Aerus/Electrolux discovery design keeps on going"

Here is the one for Perfect

Online, they do not use that exact Perfect part number.

It is usually modified, and will not have the Perfect name attached.

Aslo, theymay recycle an old Electrolux part number and put that on it.
