My Dyson upright has no model number; it just says "Dyson Slim Ball".

My vac is drawing air--and thus loosing suction overall--at the junction between the cyclone assembly and the dust bin. I suspect the gasket that seals the bin against the cyclone might be faulty; but it is pliant, has no tears, and fits into its groove snugly. I've taken to wrap the area with electrical tape. I'd like to replace this gasket but i cannot find the part number for it. Any idea what the OEM part number is for the gasket, o-ring, seal, whatever it's called..?

As far as I am aware, the gasket is not sold separately. The entire bin assembly is all one part.

I do not think this vacuum is that old, but it's possible that the gasket material due to climate has gone hard or shrunk. If tightening the screws on the cyclone assembly didn't fix it, try removing the gasket and wiping it own with some kind of rubber softener or tire polish that might revitalize it.
