It seemed the right day to make something warming! Stove heats my whole house up and its getting a bit nasty out. I tried to do morning walk, well had to change clothes and that left me feeling cold. Threw together some chili seasonings, onion, green/ red bell pepper, lb of ground chuck, garlic, 3 tomatoes I needed to use and some canned beans, drained. Muffins were Jiffy with a lb of sharp cheddar mixed in. House is warm, I am and it smells great!.

That looks really good.  I can almost smell the aroma coming off the picture.  There are moisture bubbles appearing on my screen where the steam is coming up from the pot. Are those corn muffins?  Yummy.

As for the weather- it's almost 65 degrees.

For me 65 degrees means it's time to turn on the air conditioner because the hot weather has arrived.

For California people:  (As a former Northern Calif. reside, I made my observations)

"<span style="font-size: 24pt;">BRRRRRR, <span style="font-size: 14pt;">This weather is just <span style="font-size: 18pt;">awful</span>.  I need to get out the winter jacket (teeth chattering).  When will Spring get here?  I just <span style="text-decoration: underline;">HATE</span> the grey sky."    </span></span>

<span style="font-size: 24pt;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">"Well, even though it's 65 degrees outside, there is a light mist.  I guess we can forget about looking at real estate open houses in <span style="text-decoration: underline;">this kind</span> of weather.  All the open houses will surely be closed.  I just hate bad weather."  </span></span>

<span style="font-size: 24pt;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">:-)</span></span>

It might be something else you smell! I have the Aubergine color too.3.5 qt. I think this Solei is my favorite color I have, the Caribbean is a close second? First color was of course Flame.

Here's a batch of Chicken Chili I made a while back. I think I have everything here that I need except the chicken.

Its just a stay inside day here Charles, 30-40 mph winds out of the south, periods of heavy rain, and its sideways! I would normally be out walking a few times, a few miles. Figured simmering pot and oven on would fix that, and free heat with a gas stove. Yours looks delish!

Windy;

We had that last week, but if only were just rain. Then again snow just piles up, and too much rain causes mud slides and floods.
Our weather has been a roller coaster this winter broke the 1880 warm record for Feb last Wed. at 63.

You all can keep the Spring

Send all your Winter to ME!!! I love it, No wasps, flies, mosquitos, gnats, snakes...........And BEST of all No pollen and no GRASS to mow!!!!LOL

Damn,

You guys are making me hungry.

Ah, not for "wasps, flies, mosquitos, gnats, snakes".  Not today.

The chili looks <span style="font-size: 18pt;">awesome</span>.

It's healthier by far, than old family recipes I recently learned.  Apple Pie, Shaum Tort, Frosted Butter Horns (three flavors) , and Peanut Butter Butterscotch bars.

Early this morning the heavens opened and it started to rain like a son-of-a-gun -- it was pouring down like crazy. There was also hail, gusting & howling winds, multiple lightning strikes and very loud thunder.

A loud, long peal of thunder shook the building and woke me up. It was so long and so loud that before I fully awoke I thought it was an earthquake. Doggie and LoLo were asleep on the end of the bed. Doggie went scampering under my desk and LoLo burrowed underneath my<span class="text_exposed_show"> comforter, hiding there and shaking like a leaf. Poor babies.</span>

Then the storm was gone as fast as it arrived. It's still chilly, overcast and gloomy but it's not raining at the moment.

I guess "Godzilla El Niño" finally arrived...

It would have been nice to have had a hot bowl of chili for breakfast!

Sounds nice- "it was pouring down like crazy. There was also hail, gusting & howling winds, multiple lightning strikes and very loud thunder."

<div style="margin-top: 38px;">
Some people got it good.

<strong>Though, we had similar last night and are expecting rain the next couple of days.</strong>

<strong><strong><strong>But California, really needs it.  Although I don't live in anymore, I hope for the best there.  </strong></strong></strong>

<strong><strong><strong><strong>Get the rain now, because in a month, that's all there will be for like 6 months.</strong></strong></strong></strong>

We got it good that evening! Walk next day showed the fences and trees down or broken. Over 3" and winds around 50. Out at Beale AFB, quite close they hit 70 mph. Shitola! I think more rain on and off this week, lesser evil I hope. I know we still need more, but it interferes with my walking, which pisses off the lower back, sciatica big time. Quite mad today, avoiding other humans and stepping up to the stronger oh shit meds. Happy weather to all! d.
