Still looking to buy the aftermarket 3-wheel set for my Electrolux LX. the set that clamps onto the runners. any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

As far as I am aware, it is only the two rear wheels. You still have to drag it by the front. Only the model 61 is on three wheels, but that's the way it came from the factory.

You

Realize the vacuum didn't come that way?

Just FYI.

John, you might find it easier to find a Electrolux LXI on Ebay, scrap your old one and save the parts from it instead of finding the aftermarket wheels that mount on the runners. It's been my experience that most aftermarket parts are harder to find once it's discontinued than the OEM part is to find. Plus, with the age of your vacuum, having some spare parts around would certainly be a good thing.

BTW, in that 2nd pic of yours, that looks like a FrankenLux LX. The adjustment knob for the Automatic Control certainly doesn't look like a Original Electrolux knob would have. It appears in fact that someone had 2 LX's and combined them together.

Those photos are not of my machine. The automatic control looks just like the one on mine. I know that they had problems with the first incarnation. first they had a key that you inserted along the lever on the bottom to block it from activating, then they came up with the first adjusting knob. the first adjusting knob I think you had to pull out th set and then push it back in then came the plastic knob. these pics are of my machine and yes it is a frankenlux as I changed the side logos for the Yellow and red ones. The black floor in the backgroundis why I need the wheels

Problem solved

Had to take a road trip this weekend for another issue. found an LXI in Alabama.
this a Marriage of an Electrolux LX And LXI. I swapped the runner wheel from the LXI onto the Lx as i just love the appearance of the LX. The rear wheels just clear the back cover of the LX. mid wheel mounts as normal. No more scratched slate from the runners and save the classic LX look.
